There’s something magical about fall golf — those crisp mornings that require a light quarter-zip (by the way, I can’t wait for you to see ours when they come out!), the soft sound of leaves crunching under your shoes, and the glow of golden sunlight cutting through cool air.
The colors are breathtaking — deep reds, burnt oranges, and hints of yellow that make every fairway feel like it’s framed by fire. I mean, just look at this photo!

Fall has always been my favorite season, and here in the suburbs of Philadelphia, it’s my favorite time to play. There’s an energy in the air — quieter than summer, but richer somehow. The courses are less crowded, the pace feels calmer, and every round feels like a deep breath before winter arrives.
If you’re looking to take advantage of these perfect autumn days, here are a few of my favorite Philly area spots to play right now:
The Golf Course at Glen Mills (Glen Mills, PA) — This has been one of my favorites for a while. It is full of elevation changes and you never know what wildlife you will find around the next bend. Glen Mills has that perfect mix of challenge and charm. In the fall, the rolling hills are surrounded by trees that glow all day long.
Broad Run Golfers Club (West Chester, PA) — Broad Run always keeps you on your toes with its interesting layout. It’s hilly, full of personality, and each hole feels distinct in its own way— especially when framed by vibrant fall foliage.
Union League Liberty Hill (Lafayette Hill, PA) — This course is a gem in the fall and for good reason. The views, surrounding trees, and the golden light this time of year make every swing feel cinematic. Looks aside, the course is long, challenging, and fun!
Merchantville Country Club (Merchantville, NJ) — I couldn’t talk about fall golf without mentioning the site of our first LemonRose Golf Intentional Impact Outing. The setting was stunning, the course was in impeccable shape, and the people were top notch in every way, shape, and form.
I’ve always loved that golf mirrors life — every round feels different, every course has its quirks, and sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when you least expect them. In the fall, the colors make it feel even more vivid and alive. In the Northeast, we know our golf days are coming to a close for the season and we try to soak up every last drop.
So if you’ve been thinking about getting out for one more round before the cold sets in — do it. Grab a quarter-zip or sweater, a hot coffee for the cart (maybe there’s Bailey’s in it, maybe there’s not!), and let yourself take in the view.
This feels a little funny to write because it has nothing to do with golf — but at the same time, that’s exactly why I want to share it! Kristen and I always say LemonRose Golf is about more than just the game — it’s about lifestyle, confidence, and feeling your best both on and off the course. So in that spirit, I’m bringing you something that’s been a total game-changer in my beauty routine: my face dermaplaning tool. (insert chuckle here!)
If you’ve followed my career, you know I spent years on television wearing heavy makeup almost every day. During that time, I learned that a flawless makeup look actually starts long before the foundation — it starts with smooth, healthy skin which creates for a smooth makeup application. Of course it starts with being hydrated and taking care of your skin with products that are right for you, but did you know how much dermaplaning your face can really help?!
Dermaplaning is a gentle form of exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and the fine “peach fuzz” from the surface of your face. It’s done using a special tool with a fine, single-edge blade that lightly glides across the skin. When done correctly, it leaves your face feeling silky smooth and helps reveal fresh, glowing skin underneath.
Some people go to estheticians for professional dermaplaning, but there are also safe, at-home tools that make it easy— which is where my favorite product comes in!
It’s simple: no more barrier between your products and your skin. When you remove that thin layer of fuzz and dead skin, your serums, moisturizers, and makeup go on so much smoother. Foundation blends beautifully, sunscreen absorbs better, and your skin looks brighter and more even.
I’ll be honest — the first time I tried dermaplaning, I was nervous and nicked myself, so please use caution if you are trying this yourself! But I instantly became hooked- my skin felt instantly softer, and I noticed that even my light, everyday makeup (and yes, my golf BB Cream with SPF!) looked more natural and fresh. Now, it’s part of my regular beauty routine.

I’ve tested a bunch of dermaplaning tools over the years — some manual, some electric — and the one I keep reaching for lately is the Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Pro+. It’s easy to use, rechargeable, and gives my skin that “butter smooth” feeling without irritation. I like that it has adjustable speeds and comes with replacement heads, so for me, it’s a great long-term option.
(And no, this isn’t sponsored — just something I genuinely love and use!)
So while golf might be our thing, confidence is universal — whether it’s in your swing, your career, or how you feel when you look in the mirror. I love sharing these small rituals that make me feel my best because they all connect back to the same goal: showing up with confidence and ease.
So here’s to smoother skin and smoother swings. 😉
As with anything skincare-related, do your homework before you start. Every skin type is different! If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, or if you’re unsure, talk to your dermatologist or esthetician first. Always follow the instructions carefully, use clean tools, and replace blades regularly. And remember: gentle pressure is key — no need to press hard.
Your turn: Have you tried dermaplaning or do you have a favorite beauty tool you swear by? I’d love to hear what’s been a game-changer for you — drop it in the comments or send us a message on Instagram!
This past month, I had the incredible opportunity to play at one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Philadelphia area—the Wissahickon Course at the historic Philadelphia Cricket Club. Earlier this year, this same course hosted the Truist Championship back in May, and I was lucky enough to spend Mother’s Day watching some of the best golfers in the world compete there. It’s literally just minutes from my house, which makes it even more special that such world-class golf happens right in our backyard.
Fast forward a few months, and I was invited to play in a member/guest event on that very same course. It was the first time I’d ever teed it up somewhere I’d seen a professional tournament, and I have to say—it was surreal. I couldn’t help but compare what I’d seen on TV and in person—the perfectly manicured fairways, the lightning-fast greens—to what it looked and felt like the day I played. Of course, it wasn’t quite in “tour condition,” but the layout and challenge of the course were every bit as impressive. There’s something humbling and inspiring about walking the same fairways as the pros, especially on a course with such a storied history.

And what a history it has. The Philadelphia Cricket Club, founded in 1854, is one of the oldest country clubs in the United States and the only one that can claim three 18-hole golf courses built in three different centuries. The original St. Martins Course, laid out between 1895 and 1897 in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, was so highly regarded that it hosted the U.S. Open twice—first in 1907 (won by Alec Ross, brother of the legendary Donald Ross) and again in 1910 (won by Alex Smith). Today, St. Martins has been lovingly preserved as a vintage nine-hole layout that still evokes the charm and character of golf’s early days.
In 1922, the club expanded westward to Flourtown, opening the Wissahickon Course, designed by the iconic architect A.W. Tillinghast. Set on 321 acres of rolling terrain and mature trees, it’s classic Tillinghast—strategic, beautiful, and full of personality. It’s easy to see why it continues to host high-level tournaments and why it remains a favorite among members and visitors alike.
Now, if you know anything about me (and Jillian), it’s that when there’s a theme—we commit. The theme for this member/guest outing was an Eagles tailgate, and I was all in. From the green outfits to the friendly competition, the day was filled with energy, laughter, and that signature Philly pride. Golf might have been the reason we were there, but the camaraderie and the fun made it unforgettable.
Playing Wissahickon was more than just another round. It was a chance to experience golf history, celebrate friendship, and enjoy a perfect day on one of the region’s most iconic courses. Having the chance to play with another woman - and one of my dearest friends was a bonus. I’ll definitely be thinking about this one every time I drive past the club.

As your Chief Design Officer, lover of all things fashion, and stylist at heart, it’s about time we dig into a little seasonal style. Throughout October, I’ve been absolutely loving my sleeveless vests. Truth be told, I’m a summer girly at heart—the type who would happily live at the beach all year long if I could. The transition to fall—the crisp leaves, the pumpkin spice, the sudden need for layers—hasn’t always been my favorite. My cooler weather wardrobe usually stays tucked away as long as possible (for the record, I still haven’t broken out my boots!).
But this year feels different. My sleeveless vests have become the unexpected staple in my autumn style—easy, versatile, and perfect for this mild weather we’ve been having. They’ve made getting dressed in the morning feel fun again, bridging that tricky gap between lingering summer warmth and the first chill of fall. And as someone who tends to whine the moment temperatures drop, I’m grateful for any outfit formula that doesn’t require full hibernation mode.
What I love most about these vests is their flexibility. They’re the kind of piece that can be dressed up or down without much effort, and they always look intentionally styled.
Take my white vest, for example. In the summer, I wore it with lighter denim and sandals or open-toe shoes—clean, minimal, and breezy. Now that it’s fall, it’s taking the place of my crisp white button-down, paired with darker jeans and a closed-toe shoe (and soon enough, a sleek boot). White is timeless and seasonless; it instantly pulls a look together, no matter the month.
Then there’s my brown plaid version, which has quickly become my go-to for more polished days. I love pairing it back to a brown leather skirt. It feels sophisticated enough for a business lunch yet effortlessly chic for cocktails with friends. When I want a more casual look, I throw it on with a wide-leg denim and loafers for a relaxed, “cool without trying too hard” vibe.
And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a more feminine style into the mix with a vest that has covered buttons and jeweled details. At first glance, it feels made for a winter white pant or a structured pencil skirt, and honestly, that combo would be stunning. But I’ve been having fun styling it in unexpected ways: paired with denim, or even topped with a leather jacket. There’s something interesting about that juxtaposition of classic elegance and everyday streetwear—it’s a little edgy, a little refined, and very me.
Sleeveless vests are the ultimate fall layering piece. They let you play with proportion and texture without the bulk of a full jacket. And they’re surprisingly practical, warm enough for those crisp mornings, yet light enough for when the afternoon sun decides to make a cameo.
So, consider this my fall fashion PSA: if you haven’t given sleeveless vests a chance, this is your moment. They’re easy, elegant, and endlessly versatile. Whether you lean more preppy, edgy, or feminine, there’s a version out there waiting to become your go-to transitional piece.
Who knows, maybe this summer girl is finally starting to like fall- a little!
