This time of year can get a bit crazy, and we are here for any extra boost we can get! So this month, we focused on versatility, health, peach of mind, and a new piece of golf equipment.
Your best golf outfits should also work everywhere else! One of my favorite parts of women’s golf fashion right now is how versatile it is becoming. We’re no longer confined to outfits that only make sense on the course — today’s pieces are more stylish, functional, and chic than we have ever seen, and they are only getting better.
Jillian Mele, Co-Founder of LemonRose Golf.
As you know, at LemonRose Golf, we’ve been working behind the scenes on pieces that fit this exact concept: elevated, modern, versatile women’s golf apparel that moves with you throughout your day — not just your round. Think refined silhouettes and thoughtful details on styles that feel just as good at lunch or cocktails as they do on the fairway. There are details that we’ve included — and left out — to make these pieces perfect for everything you do in a day. Believe it or not, our tops can be worn with your favorite golf skort or pant, and even jeans. Our skorts can be worn with your favorite golf top and shoes or a tank and flip-flops or heels. And our dresses? Don’t even get us started! Pair them with a belt or anything else and you’re ready for the day, no matter where you’re going. We know what we like and what you deserve: pieces that are multi-purposeful. I can’t wait to share more soon! LemonRose Golf is coming — and she’s meant to be worn everywhere. But in the meantime, below are a few pieces I’ve been loving lately (that are not LemonRose Golf) and how I style them.
I got this Adidas top on sale at PGA TOUR Superstore this fall. I am not typically one for patterns, but I thought the blue and cream hues were pretty, and I liked the sleeveless mock-neck style for layering. Mock-neck silhouettes are having a moment, and for good reason. They’re flattering, structured, and instantly elevate even the simplest pair of golf pants. This one balances sporty and polished at the same time because of the detail in the pattern and colors. The pants I chose are not specifically for golf. They are these Lululemon athletic trousers which, I will admit, are super nice. These are the definition of versatility. I am not sure if they were intended to be worn on the golf course, but as you’ll learn about me, I am a big fan of piecing together outfits with things you wouldn’t expect. I have been known to wear a skirt over a dress on TV and create a whole new outfit and look with the snap of my fingers. I capped off the look with a VERY old belt that came from a VERY old Calvin Klein work dress I bought many years ago. It is just a black leather belt with a gold bar detail on the front. This belt is NOT meant for golf whatsoever, but I can play in it and like it, so why not?
I love a lightweight sweater for cooler tee times, especially one that doesn’t scream “golf attire.” The Le Lis sweater has that effortless “low-key luxury” vibe to it. I can wear it with workout pants or a golf skort/pants. To be transparent, I wore this while golfing at The Walker Course at Clemson University in South Carolina in November, so it was a bit warmer than in the Northeast, but something like this works in both golf climates. I am not typically one for a hot pink anything in golf (I think it is completely played out), but when the trees are bare in the fall and the summer colors aren’t there on the course, I sometimes like to create that pop of color in my wardrobe. These are things that no one besides me probably thinks about (lol), but that’s okay! I paired it with a black skort and Nike golf shoes with a pretty pop of green and didn’t feel like I needed any other accessories since the colors were the standout.
This fall has also been a season of travel for us — quick trips between Philadelphia and Los Angeles as we meet with our manufacturer, review samples, and fine-tune the pieces we’re bringing to life for LemonRose Golf. If you’ve ever done the Philly-to-LA-and-back-in-one-day sprint, you know how intense it can be. Early alarms, long flights, hours of fittings, fabric reviews, and design decisions… then right back to the airport to fly home. It’s exciting, energizing, and absolutely essential for creating pieces we’re proud of — but it’s also physically draining.
Here is an example of a typical travel day:
2:30–3:00am EST: Alarm
4:15am EST: Head to the airport
6:30am EST: Flight departs
9:30am PST: Land in LA
10:15am PST: Meeting with manufacturer
5:30pm PST: Leave for the airport
11:25pm PST: Red-eye leaves LA for Philadelphia
7:45am EST: Land in Philadelphia
9:00am EST: SLEEP

A question we get a lot is: Why not just stay over? The answer is simple: we have so many other things to do! Kristen has a daughter, I have a dog, we are trying to launch LemonRose Golf, and these trips are work for us — not a vacation. We could stay overnight, but it means losing most of the next day to travel, and we’d rather be home in our own beds. Maybe we’re crazy, or maybe we’re geniuses. I’m afraid we’ll never know! Ha!
With all of that said, I have a notoriously weak immune system, so I’ve learned I have to be incredibly intentional about how I take care of myself before these marathon travel days.
That’s where IV hydration has become a game changer. There’s a place near me outside of Philadelphia called City Hydration, and I’ve started going the day before a long travel day. No, this is not sponsored — I have paid for all of my treatments. The IVs have vitamins, fluids, and nutrients in them, and for me personally, they make a noticeable difference. After an IV hydration session, I feel more energized, better hydrated, and less run-down as I navigate the stress of back-to-back flights, time zone jumps, airport air, and the marathon that is a full day of apparel fittings.
When you’re hopping off a plane, diving into fabric checks, reviewing stitch details, assessing silhouettes, and making rapid-fire decisions about buttons, zippers, and everything else — feeling depleted is just not an option. The IV boost helps me manage the entire whirlwind. But here’s the most important part: this is simply what works for me.
Disclaimer: Always do your own research and consult a medical professional before trying any IV hydration or wellness treatments. Everyone’s body and needs are different, and you should only choose what is best and safest for you.

I recently bought a new golf bag—and honestly, it was long overdue. My previous bag was a trusty old turquoise Top Flite that came with my last set of clubs. Over the years I’ve upgraded everything else: new clubs, new headcovers, new accessories… yet somehow the bag never made the list. I didn’t particularly like it—it was just convenient. So I kept letting it slide. It wasn’t until this summer, when I found myself playing more and getting photographed on the course, that I started craving something that felt a little more “me.” The turquoise bag had carried me through plenty of rounds, but stylistically? It was giving college-kid energy when I was ready for something more elevated. More mature. More aligned with the golfer—and the person—I’ve grown into. I browsed a few options, did the whole back-and-forth, but I kept landing on the same one. And that’s usually a sign.
Here’s the thing: I genuinely believe your golf bag should feel like an extension of your personality. It’s with you every round, in every photo, standing right beside you on the tee box. When I knew we’d be getting on-course photos for the LemonRose, I actually started borrowing my friend Angela’s sleek, all-black bag because it just felt more put together than mine. (Thank you, Angela!) Yes, that’s the black bag I used in the photos for our website. But let’s be honest for a second—my old bag wasn’t just lacking in the aesthetics department. Inside, it was chaos. Zero organization. Balls and tees were scattered in multiple pockets. Scorecards from who-knows-when. I’m fairly certain I found a granola bar that predates the pandemic. By the end of the season, I was even annoyed with myself… but I kept holding off, knowing I’d eventually make the switch. And now that I’ve transferred everything into my new bag? Fully organized? Pockets assigned with actual intention? I truly don’t know how I survived any other way. Okay, that might be a little dramatic—but having a dedicated place for everything is a game-changer. Being able to reach for the right tee without digging, or find a glove quickly before slowing down the group, takes just that tiny bit of stress off your round. It feels good to show up feeling prepared, polished, and put together.
Sometimes a new golf bag isn’t just a bag—it’s a small upgrade that makes the whole experience feel better. The navy Fairway C just feels like me: refined, practical, and ready for wherever my game goes next. And honestly, moments like this are exactly why we created LemonRose Golf. It’s not just about what you wear on the course—it’s about how you feel on the course. Confident, pulled together, and empowered to show up as the best version of yourself. Sometimes that comes from the perfect skort or the right layering piece… and sometimes it’s something as simple as a golf bag that finally matches your personality and your game.
As women, we often play the game within the game—figuring out what feels stylish but functional, mature but still fun, polished without being stuffy. LemonRose is here to make that part easier, to help you find pieces that feel intentional and true to who you are. Upgrading my bag reminded me how much small details matter. When you feel put together, you play better, move better, and carry yourself with that little spark of confidence that shows up in your swing. So consider this my gentle nudge: if your gear doesn’t feel like you, it might be time for a refresh. Whether it’s your bag, your headcovers, or your on-course style, you deserve things that elevate your game and reflect your personality—inside and out. That’s what we’re building at LemonRose, and I’m excited to keep sharing the journey with you.

There’s something so refreshing about escaping on a perfectly timed girls weekend. For me it was a few weeks ago in early November to Cape May, New Jersey. Right before the holiday season kicks into high gear but the weather is still beautiful and after the summer crowds have faded. The quaint little town slows down just enough to be able to savor the quieter charm that makes it one of my favorite places to visit.
This is an annual trip with friends who started as neighbors and somehow became lifelong friends. Life moves fast, and carving out time together gets harder every year, so sneaking away for a couple of days feels like hitting the reset button before the chaos of hosting, shopping, wrapping, and late-night list-making begins. Our itinerary wasn’t complicated, which honestly made it perfect. We shopped a lot at the cute boutiques Cape May has to offer, ate good food and had some great laughs over delicious cocktails. The town’s Victorian streets were just starting to decorate for Christmas and that just added to the charm. I always think this town looks like it could be the set of a movie, but even more so when it's decorated for Christmas.
I think my favorite part of the weekend were the beach walks and one of the best sunsets I've seen in a long time. As a Jersey girl, who grew up at the beach, it's hard to impress me with a sunset I haven't seen yet but the one we saw that weekend was gorgeous. Even in November, Cape May’s shoreline is stunning—I’m not a Fall girl but the walks in sweatshirts and sunglasses were just perfect.
Obviously as your resident fashion girl, I over pack and love getting dressed up. So having that time to get ready together listening to music and sipping wine are just those feel- good moments I love. There were no big agendas, no reservations beyond dinner, no rushing. Time to talk about life, motherhood and of course vent about all the things I can trust my girlfriends with. Weekends like this remind me that friendship doesn’t need anything extravagant. A charming town, a cozy restaurant, a walk by the water, and people who make you feel like the best version of yourself—that’s the real luxury.
Cape May in November is the perfect place to laugh, shop, sip, and reset. And honestly? It has become one of those yearly traditions that I truly look forward to. I can say I come back feeling refreshed and ready to get back into the grind of mothering and working. I recommend even if you can't sneak away for a whole weekend- get your friends together for a coffee or dinner and just be present.
